Eranda Scholarship Uplifts Farmers’ Children Through Education
The Eranda Scholarship is an initiative supported by Arkema and Ihsedu Agrochem Pvt. Ltd., focusing on children from farming families. It aims to foster education and creativity while contributing to community development. The program seeks to invest in young minds to encourage a brighter future for the next generation in their rural communities.
Currently, the Eranda Scholarship has opened its 2025–26 edition, continuing its mission to support education and creative development for children from farming families in Gujarat. This initiative includes inter-school competitions to recognize student talent and aims to enhance school infrastructure in rural areas.
Since its launch in 2022, the programme has engaged 4,594 students across 16 schools, with 69 students receiving scholarships and awards for academic and creative performance.
“Sustainability must extend beyond farms and factories to classrooms,” said Abhay V. Udeshi, Chairman of Jayant Agro-Organics Ltd. “Supporting farmers’ children is an investment in stronger, more resilient rural communities.”
Alongside academics, the programme incorporates climate and sustainability awareness into its activities, encouraging students to engage with environmental challenges while building confidence and creative skills within their school communities.
