SBI donates Ambulance, Medical Equipment and Water Purifiers as part of CSR initiatives
SBI has enhanced healthcare and community facilities across Mumbai, Thane, Raigad and Palghar through its CSR support of ?2.1 crore. The new cardiac ambulance at Matoshree Gangubai Sambhaji Shinde Hospital in Thane will enhance emergency care to the economically weaker sections. SBI has also supported six primary health centres in Palghar district with medical equipment and testing kits. This will improve early detection of sickle cell anemia and beta thalassemia in tribal areas.
In addition, RO water purifiers and coolers have been installed in 100 Zilla Parishad schools in the four districts to provide safe drinking water to students. SBI has also installed sanitary pad incinerators in 46 schools to make students aware of menstrual hygiene and ensure better health.
The initiatives were launched by SBI Chairman Shri C.S. Setty, in the presence of senior bank officials. SBI continues to support community well-being while fostering social progress alongside economic development.
