InterGlobe Foundation and IndiGoReach Organise ‘My City My Heritage’ Walk in Gwalior, Celebrating and Highlighting Its Layered History

Feb 7, 2026

Gwalior’s iconic Maharaj Bada recently served as an open-air class as citizens joined forces for a community heritage walk under the ‘My City My Heritage’ campaign. The walk was organized by IndiGoReach and InterGlobe Foundation in collaboration with Sahapedia to create a platform for citizens to rediscover the tales and the spaces that make their cities unique.

Led by heritage experts Neelesh Ishwarchandra Karkare and Dr. Ankit Agrawal, the walk took participants through the history, architecture and cultural life of the lively square. From heritage sites to bustling markets, the walk illustrated how tradition and modernity continue side by side in the heart of the city. The walk was well-attended by local people, officials and representatives of IndiGo and InterGlobe Foundation.

The walk is the latest addition to the ‘My City My Heritage’ campaign, which will create a wonderful platform for heritage walks in cities like Shillong, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Lucknow. The walk aims to bring people back to their roots.
With efforts like this heritage stops being just a history lesson in books , it becomes a lived experience, accessible in the streets we walk everyday.
