realme Partners with iHub AWaDH to Set Up Tinkering Labs in Schools

Mar 19, 2026

In a step towards strengthening early-stage innovation and tech learning, realme has partnered with iHub AWaDH to establish six Tinkering Labs in schools across India.

The initiative focuses on building hands-on learning spaces where students can explore technologies like IoT, robotics, electronics and cyber-physical systems. Inspired by the Atal Innovation Mission under NITI Aayog, these labs aim to encourage creativity, problem-solving and design thinking among students at an early stage.

With structured mentoring and technical support from iHub AWaDH, the programme is designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world application. It also aligns with larger national goals such as Digital India, Skill India and Atmanirbhar Bharat, focusing on building a future-ready workforce.

Francis Wong, CMO, realme India, highlighted that the initiative is about nurturing curiosity and giving students early exposure to emerging technologies, helping shape the next generation of innovators and problem-solvers.

Echoing this, Dr Radhika Trikha, CEO of iHub AWaDH, pointed out the growing skill gap in India, where only a fraction of youth receive training in advanced technologies. She noted that initiatives like these can create a stronger pipeline from school-level learning to industry-ready skills.

At its core, the collaboration aims to make innovation more accessible — giving students the tools, exposure and confidence to not just learn technology, but build with it.
