Samsung R and D Institute India Bangalore has launched its Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) programme at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, strengthening efforts to equip students with industry ready digital skills.
Samsung Innovation Campus is a global CSR and skilling initiative focused on preparing young learners for the future through training in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and the Internet of Things. The programme is designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real world industry needs.
Under this collaboration, students from the Computer Science and Engineering department at SRMIST will receive structured training delivered by experts from Samsung’s R and D teams. The programme blends classroom learning with an industry aligned curriculum and hands on mentorship, enabling students to build practical expertise in advanced technologies.
A key component of the initiative is the focus on real world application. Students will work on capstone projects that address industry and societal challenges, guided by Samsung mentors, giving them exposure to problem solving in real scenarios.
The launch event was attended by Dr T R Paarivendhar, Founder Chancellor of the SRM Group, and Amit Mannan, Vice President and Head of Network R and D at Samsung R and D Institute India Bangalore, along with faculty members and students.
Aligned with national initiatives like Skill India and Digital India, the programme aims to build a strong pipeline of skilled talent in AI and emerging technologies.
By combining academic learning with industry exposure, the initiative reinforces India’s growing role as a global hub for innovation and technology.
