Punjab National Bank is set to mark its 132nd Foundation Day with the upcoming PNB Soldierathon Delhi 2026, scheduled for 5 April 2026 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The event brings together fitness enthusiasts, citizens, and members of the armed forces in a shared tribute to the nation’s soldiers.
Now in its second edition, the half marathon carries the theme “Run With Soldiers, Run For Soldiers”, celebrating the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of India’s Armed Forces. More than just a sporting event, the Soldierathon aims to foster a sense of unity, resilience, and national pride among participants from diverse backgrounds.
To ensure smooth participation, a special initiative has been introduced in collaboration with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. Early morning metro services will begin at 3:00 AM, operating at 30-minute intervals on the Yellow, Blue, and Violet Lines until regular schedules resume. Participants wearing their bibs will also be eligible for complimentary one-time to and fro travel, making access to the venue easier ahead of the 5:00 AM flag-off.
The marathon will feature multiple race categories including the 21.1 km Half Marathon, 10 km run, and 5 km run, encouraging participation across age groups and fitness levels. This inclusive approach reflects the broader goal of engaging communities while promoting health and active lifestyles.
Speaking about the initiative, Deepak Kumar highlighted that the Soldierathon is not just a run, but a movement that reinforces the bank’s commitment to nation-building and community engagement. With the participation of armed forces personnel, the event is expected to serve as a meaningful platform to honour those who serve the country selflessly.
As anticipation builds, the Soldierathon stands out as a powerful blend of fitness, gratitude, and collective spirit, bringing people together to run not just for themselves, but for the nation.
