Himalaya Babycare Hosts Childhealth Initiative At Narapally PHC
More than 65 mothers and infants gathered today at the Primary Health Centre in Narapally, Medchal, for a Healthy Baby Contest organised by Himalaya BabyCare in collaboration with the Society of Midwives of India (SOMI). The event aimed to raise awareness on child growth, maternal wellbeing, and early development practices within the community.
Pediatricians and healthcare professionals evaluated babies based on key developmental indicators such as motor skills, height, weight, and responsiveness. Three winners, Samanveya, Niyanshika, and Karthikeya, were selected, each receiving a Himalaya Baby Gift Pack. All participants were given goody bags containing a certificate, a teddy bear, and baby care samples.
In addition to the contest, healthcare workers led informational sessions on essential childcare topics, including breastfeeding, infant nutrition, immunisation, and postnatal care. Medical Officer Dr. Shobana Bhandari and her team provided personalised guidance to attendees.
Mr. Chakravarthi N.V., Director of BabyCare at Himalaya Wellness Company, stated, “We believe every baby deserves a healthy beginning, and through initiatives like this, we are supporting parents with the knowledge and resources needed in those crucial early years.”
This event marks one of over 1,500 Healthy Baby Contests conducted nationally by Himalaya BabyCare, which plans to scale up to 2,000 such community engagements over the coming year as part of its commitment to grassroots child wellness.
