Shriram Life Insurance Company recently announced a scholarship programme for Class 10 toppers from government schools across 119 assembly constituencies in Telangana for the 2024–2025 academic session.
The top-ranked student in each assembly constituency will receive a scholarship cheque of Rs. 30,000. Additionally, the top three students who secure state-level ranks will each be awarded RS. 1 lakh.
The programme is being administered by the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana. The list of students eligible for the scholarship has been shared by the department.
The scholarship distribution event was attended by D. Sridhar Babu, Minister of IT, Electronics and Communications, Industries and Commerce, and Legislative Affairs. Also present were senior executives of Shriram Life, including KRC Sekhar (Managing Director), R. Duruvasan (Director) and Srinivas Reddy (Executive Director). This programme is part of Shriram Life’s broader CSR commitment to support education and increase learning opportunities for students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
While addressing the scholarship recipients, Minister D. Sridhar Babu emphasised the need for value-driven education, and he urged the students to develop self-confidence and sharpen their skills needed for the job market to take great opportunities that will come up in Telangana.”
